Juvederm & Restylane
Injectable fillers such as JUVÉDERM® and Restylane® can plump thin lips, enhance shallow contours, soften facial creases and wrinkles, or improve the appearance of recessed scars. The results of soft tissue augmentation with injectable fillers are not permanent and this allows you to better maintain a natural appearance. The continued aging of your face will affect how long your results last; should you choose not to repeat treatment, your appearance will return to its original condition. Plumped lips will lose volume and improved wrinkles, creases and scars will visibly recess and fully reappear in time.
Botox
BOTOX® Cosmetic temporarily reduces the contractions of the muscles that cause wrinkles. By relaxing the muscles, the overlying skin becomes smoother. The most common areas of treatment are frown lines of the forehead and the area around the eyes known as crowʼs feet. It can also be used to stop underarm sweating. Botox is derived from bacteria that works by temporarily weakening the tiny facial muscles it is> injected into.
What is Juvederm ? What is Restylane ?
JUVÉDERM® and Restylane® are both made with hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance found in our bodies. It is well suited to plump thin lips and fill facial creases such as nasolabial folds. It may also be appropriate for some surface wrinkles and concave scars. The results typically last 6 months or longer.
How is the procedure performed ?
Injected under the skin, dermal fillers instantly restore your skin's volume and smooths away facial wrinkles and folds; like your “smile< lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds – the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth). The injection process takes only about 30 minutes and results are immediate.
Will the procedure hurt ?
Injections may cause some discomfort during and after the procedure. The consistency of the filler allows your doctor to administer it easily and smoothly. And the gel is injected directly into the skin using a fin needle to reduce discomfort. Your doctor may choose to numb (anesthetize) the treatment area to further minimize discomfort.
How do l prepare for the procedure ?
It is best to avoid alcohol in the days leading up to your treatment. In order to reduce bruising, aspirin and anti-inflammatory medications (Advil) should be avoided approximately 72 hours before treatment in order to reduce bruising.

What is Botox ?
Botulinum Toxin Type A (BOTOX® Cosmetic) is a protein complex produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. When used in a medical setting, small doses of Botox block the release of a chemical called acetylcholine by nerve cells that signal muscle contraction. By selectively interfering with the underlying muscles' ability to contract, existing frown lines are smoothed out and, in most cases, are nearly invisible in a week.
How is the procedure performed ?
The procedure takes only a few minutes and no anesthesia is required. BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected with a fine needle into specific muscles with only minor discomfort. It generally takes three to seven days to take full effect.

How long does botox last ?
The effects from BOTOX® Cosmetic will last four to six months. As muscle action gradually returns, lines and wrinkles will begin to reappear and wrinkles need to be treated again. However, lines and wrinkles often appear less severe with time because the muscles are being trained to relax. The effects are cumulative, and results tend to improve.
What are the possible side effects of Botox ?
Temporary bruising is the most common side effect. Headaches, which resolve in 24-48 hours, can occur, but this is rare. A small percentage of patients may develop some eyelid drooping which usually resolves within three weeks. This development is usually caused by migration of the BOTOX® Cosmetic and for this reason you shouldn't rub the treated area for 12 hours after injection or lay down for three to four hours.
